These are my own personal views. I do not purport to speak on behalf of Council.
The Wild dog/Dingo issue – Council’s media release of 17 April 26 explains the position. Trail cameras have been installed. Please DO NOT feed these animals as you will be part of the problem and it is illegal under the Biosecurity Act 2014 and there are hefty penalties under that Act for those who move, keep or feed wild dogs, which include dingoes, hybrid dingoes and domestic dogs that have escaped or been abandoned.
Community Consultation – Chat with the Mayor 17 April. Topics raised included the Long Rd extension, “that” footpath & handrail on Alpine Tce, recent traffic accidents/deaths, road safety signage, the potential incinerator near Beaudesert, residential & tourism growth in the area and lack of footpath connectivity, abandoned trailers, pedestrian safety, the TMSA pie drive and outdoor footpath dining on Main St impacting pedestrians.
Council issues – March 2026 – granny flat with no final inspection certificate, unapproved building works (pool & spa), 3 unapproved shipping containers, 3 unlawful land use (breach of DA conditions; no approvals), dog bite (delivery driver), 4 barking dogs (leaving your dog on a verandah while you go on holidays is not appropriate), abandoned trailers, smashed car on Gallery Walk, real estate agents not removing sale signs for months after properties sell & settle, blocked Council drains, blocked toilets, unsightly property containing scrap metal, shipping containers and weeds, and we are down to 1 wandering steer on Kaiser Rd, the others have been rounded up sent for sale. As usual, plenty of enquiries re subdivision, multiple dwellings, granny flats, tiny homes etc. Shouldn’t be long before we look like Yarrabilba.
Fire ants have been reported on Hartley Rd, Witherby Cres, Southport Ave, Esme St, Stradbroke Ave and Long Rd. Please take care when walking in these areas.
Budget – community consultation sessions will be announced shortly.
Integrated Transport Plan – will be released shorty for public comment.

OIA complaints – 5 conduct complaints made against me on 27 March 26 which were promptly shared with media outlets. Why would anyone put their hand up to be a Councillor?
