The Tamborine Mountain Orchestra is opening its doors and its music stands to the community this festive season with a special invitation to Be Part of the Music: Try Out The Orchestra!
On Sunday, November 30 at 2.30pm, the orchestra will present its annual free Christmas concert at Tamborine Mountain State High School.
This joyful afternoon of music is not only a celebration of the season but also an opportunity for new musicians and music lovers alike to get involved.
For local musicians, this concert offers a wonderful opportunity to “try out the orchestra” (TOTO) in a warm and welcoming community setting.
Whether you’re a beginner, an experienced performer or returning to your instrument after some time away, you’ll be greeted with encouragement and enthusiasm.
To make joining in easy, we’ve chosen a couple of accessible pieces especially for our TOTO players.
Rehearsals will be held at Tamborine Mountain State High School on Wednesday and Tuesday November 12 and 19 at 7pm, giving newcomers the chance to experience the friendly, supportive atmosphere that makes the Tamborine Mountain Orchestra so special.
If you don’t play but simply love live music, you’re equally invited to join the audience and enjoy an afternoon of festive favourites, traditional carols, and orchestral delights performed by local musicians. Adding some extra sparkle to this year’s performance will be special guest vocalist Forbes McKail
The concert promises to be a celebration of community spirit, creativity, and the joy of making music together. Bring your family, invite your friends, and experience the magic of the mountain’s musical heart.
