IT IS the unexpected that creates the biggest excitement in life and that was certainly the case for anyone entering Len Bytheway’s home during the TMAC Arts Trail.
Len and his three leatherworking artisan friends, known collectively as the Leather Lounge Lizards displayed a range of works reminiscent of a Mad Max or science fiction film.
From top hats in steam punk style to masks and even a reticulated dragon, the chance to explore the range of items and try them on created excitement for everyohome studio ne visiting.
Rugmaker Bec Anderson opened her home studio and also conducted a rugmaking workshop on the Monday of the long weekend.
A steady stream of visitors at the Grand Chameleon saw a range of artists from beadwork and clothing to paintings and Adrian Dominic’s abstract biomechanical imagery.
The Trail was also a chance for artists from across the Scenic Rim to exhange ideas and view each other’s work; with members of the 4275 Collective from Canungra displaying their work as well as Beaudesert Potters and Beaudesert and District Collective Arts Project.
TMAC Vice President Renee Martin said she was very happy with the event and planning is already underway for 2026.
